Kim's TV sex toy story has been a real climax – Entertainments …

A Hemel Hempstead mum says taking part in a saucy TV documentary on sex toys may help her to become an ambassador for women.

Care assistant Kim Smith of Leverstock Green appeared on Channel 4 s Sex Toy Stories, in which she is part of a panel to design a new range of kinky bedroom equipment for high street erotica store Ann Summers. Before the show, Kim was one of a quarter of women in the UK who had never experienced an orgasm. In the programme, Kim reveals this may be down to her history of childhood abuse and difficult relationships.

The 47 year old said: I have been through a lot and I have always put other people before me, so this was a time to do something for myself. My world started becoming more important, and this was a part of my healing process. I have learnt to leave yesterday behind and look on to the future I am now addicted to myself and don t really need anybody else.

The hour-long documentary, which first aired on Thursday at 10pm, also featured playfully-nicknamed Kim O meeting with a fellow panel-member in Hemel Hempstead s The Marchmont Arms. Kim reveals that after her traumatic past, some perseverance with the toys led her to achieve her first orgasm. Kim said there have also been other benefits to being involved in the programme.

She added: It has made my relationship with my two daughters stronger. I used to shelter them from sex as I wanted to protect them, but now we are much more open and can share things. My eldest was really shocked at first, but they are both really proud of me.

It has also made me consider doing something different, as women have told me I should write a book about my experiences.

I hope I may be able to do that and become an ambassador for women who have come through hard times like I have.

There is life after all that.

It’s Wednesday, so time for another installment of Intermet1! How long have you and Jeremy been together? We will have been dating for 3 years come July, and we got engaged after being together just over 2 years. Which online dating website did you use? We used OkCupid2 . I had used other sites in the past including Match.com3 and eHarmony4 . Those sites were good to get dates but they never really materialized into anything .

I had a flamed-out date tell me about OKC so I joined . I mean, it was free and acted just like Match.com5 ! I liked the format and there were some great guys on there (obviously). What was your worst experience in online dating? Ha !

Where to start ? I met one guy that, while we were making out, said, “I want to do you.” I stopped him and said, “Did you just say that?!” and he said, “Well I do.” Ha ! That was enough for me; I couldn’t believe someone would say that to me .

You can say I never saw him again! Do you tell people you met online ? If so, how do you do it? Yes we did . It was hard to come up with some sort of story so we just decided to be honest and tell people .

You would be surprised at how many people say they met someone online or knew someone who met online. Do you recommend online dating? Yes I would . Are there crazies out there ? Yes .

But there are tons of crazies everywhere…no matter if it’s online or not . I personally think online dating is better than just randomly finding someone at a bar (don’t do that!) . Why do I think that ?

The ball is in the girls’ court (which I liked) . Most guys are very respectful of the girls’ wishes/concerns/requests about where to meet . You can really scope out the guys before you meet someone .

My gosh! How long have you and Joey been together? We’ve been dating since December of 2010, got engaged in November 2011, and married in July 2012. Which online dating website did you use? What was your worst experience in online dating? The worst experience was weeding through all the messages I got on Match.com3 . I was contacted by so many people who obviously weren’t a match for me (Sar’s note: it’s ‘cuz you’re hot Ash) . None of my in-person dates were that awkward .

Some I just knew as soon as I sat down that it wasn’t going to work. Do you tell people you met online ? If so, how do you do it? In the beginning, I was very hesitant to tell people how we met . I used to always tell people we met at happy hour .

After we got engaged, I got over it . I used to be so worried that people would judge us since we met online, but I’ve definitely stopped worrying about that . Now if people ask us, we immediately say we met on Match.com4 .

Most people take about 30 seconds to let that process and then are very supportive and have lots of questions about it. Do you recommend online dating? I would highly recommend online dating ! Slash Fiction Short Stories: Update Schedule – slash fiction by xisney

I m sure you re tired of seeing these, but I m just letting you know that we ll be taking a Stranger than Slash Fiction break starting now. Slash Fiction short stories will be updating throughout June and July while I move, and they ll likely spill into August while a friend of mine visits from overseas. These slash fiction short stories will very likely have more porn than plot, and they re probably more what you d expect in a typical gay sex story, so hopefully they ll still be to your taste!

There will be some recurring characters throughout the stories, but none of them are attached to a longer plot. As usual, if you would like to see more of the characters in the short stories, feel free to comment on the story telling me that! Also, a very small number of them may be broken into two updates!

If any Guest Writers submit short stories, they ll likely be mixed into this bunch. The Update Schedule page will be updated in detail once I get my ducks in a row next week.

I ve been feeling like the quality of Stranger than Slash Fiction keeps suffering because I m rushing, so I d prefer to just avoid putting myself in a situation where I ll continue to sacrifice the quality of the story due to my poor planning.&nsbp;

I think that’s when I started backing off the website . I was actually about to cancel my page when I got my first message from Chuck. Do you tell people you met online ?

If so, how do you do it? I don’t think I was ever shy about telling people I met Chuck online, he on the other hand would tell people that we met through a “close friend.” I even overheard him say that to a coworker that he wasn’t particularly close to. Do you recommend online dating? I definitely recommend online dating ! There are so many sites out there now, one for everyone . As long as they keep the Intermet tips in mind and go into it with an open mind, I don’t see why anyone couldn’t dip their toes in the dating pool on one of these sites. I went on a few other dates but none of them were terrible .

It was just with guys there weren’t connections with. Do you tell people you met online ? If so, how do you do it? Now, yes we tell people . The first year or so that we dated, I lied to a lot of people about how we met .

Even my mom didn’t know ! Once I realized that John and I were pretty serious, I finally had to come out and tell people . If it comes up in conversation now, it’s really easy to tell them how we met .

It’s definitely a lot more socially acceptable now than it was 5 years ago. Do you recommend online dating? Absolutely . Obviously we’re a success story and I can’t imagine my life without John . I think that if you haven’t found “the one,” you should definitely give it a shot .
